Color Sudoku App Reviews

This Sudoku app and the other Sudoku apps by the same developer are the best Sudoku apps on any platform! They excel in clarity, interface, puzzle selection, statistical data, app performance, app reliability, settings, etc. I have all the Sudoku apps by this developer, and I enjoy all of them a lot! The only possible improvement that I can think of would be adding an option to choose the color/number/symbol first, instead of the cell position. This particular Sudoku app -- using colors -- is a brilliant idea that is fantastic to play. I find it much easier to process the color representations in my brain than the standard numerical representations, which btw can be easily viewed in any rotation of the screen. The "Scrapbook" Sudoku app is also wicked cool, and I would recommend trying the domino/dice representations on that one. I highly recommend all the Sudoku apps by this developer!

Excellent program. One thing I would like is to have the screen that says you won show what level you just beat. I cycle through the difficulties, and then forget what level I just finished. Certainly not a big problem, but it would be nice.

Great colors. Love how easy it is to use and options. Better than numbers !!!

Love it, I can do it so much faster than the sudoku with numbers.

This app offers different levels for solving. The color recognition is fun and works the same as the numbers in the traditional Sudoku games.

After many years of standard 1-9 Sudoku I tried this color version-blew me away! Love it!

Playing with different color palates instead of numbers really keeps the game fresh.

I agree with reviewer Amy Bloch that it was a mistake to make the purple so much like the light blue. The thing thats even worse about this update, though, is the off-by-one error that shoves the squares for the notes out of their boxes to the right. Wont you PLEASE fix this? Please? Beyond this, I love this app. Its a peaceful way to spend minutes, and the range from easy to expert means it can entertain both my 5-year-old friend (especially after she found the All Notes button) and her math genius papa.

The switch to colors instead of numbers is a neat new brain challenge. Some of the color palette options have awfully similar colors which is a bit annoying, but otherwise very fun.

Visually pleasing. Much more fun to solve with colors instead of numbers. The note function is especially nice. Enjoyable!

This sudoku is my all time favorite! much more fun than numbers and I switch palettes from time to time! Both challenging and very relaxing! Love it!

Overall a very good game. Lots of variety. The only reason I dont give it five stars is that, for a game thats all about color, it has a few shortcomings. The background color on one of the color themes is so close in shade to one of the game colors as to be indistinguishable. And some of the color themes are shades that are so difficult to tell apart. I would love to see some more imaginative color themes. Or- heres asking for the moon- be able to select my own set of colors.

Great way to waken the brain in the morning.

On my iPad Sudoko plays only on the portrait mode. My iPad is in a leather case that plays in the landscape mode so I play the Color Sudoko sideways! Cant do that with the "normal" Sudoko. I wish both types of games could be played on the iPad in the landscape mode.

5 Stars for the iPhone version- the iPad version has a yellow grid and it is hard to discern where the boxes are grouped. iPhone version is perfect in every way.

I love this game. Both color sudoku and regular sudoku are literally the best games ever. Its a wonderful way to work your brain.
